Course objectives
The subject follows the basics of pedagogy and psychology. Students completing this subject acquire competences for working with a group (knowledge of group dynamics, group roles and the use of this knowledge) and acquire the theoretical basis and basic principles of non-directive pedagogy methods used in open work with youth and in community work. Therefore, this subject is always taught by two experts (from the field of social pedagogy and from the field of psychology).
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- describe the development of the group
- identify the different roles in the group
- describe the regularities of group dynamics
- define social groups labeled "youth" and distinguish them from children and adults
- describe the specifics of youth groups at risk of social exclusion
- describe and apply the principles of individual methods of "open work with children and youth"
- recognize and describe the specifics of animation procedures within social pedagogy
