Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars take place once every 14 days, which means 6 meetings during the semester. Each meeting lasts for two teaching hours (50 + 50 minutes). Seminars include group work, individual projects, discussions, and presentations of homework. An interactive syllabus with study materials is available to students to prepare for the classes.
Assessment methods
• Students work on individual portfolio assignments, which they submit electronically following APA7 standards to the assignment repository in the course materials on the learning management system IS.MUNI. The assignment is due before the final seminar, with adherence to the deadline being a requirement for successful completion of the course. If necessary, students may make two corrections to their assignment submission. Late submissions are considered as a makeup opportunity, which ends on January 10th (assignments are submitted to the makeup folder).
• Active participation in classes is necessary for course completion, including preparation for classes, completion of ongoing assignments, pre-reading for class sessions, and active engagement in discussions and activities. Students are allowed one unexcused absence.
• Successful completion of the course requires passing a knowledge test held at the end of the semester. Students may take the test even if they have not yet submitted the portfolio assignment.
• The course is for 4 ECTS credits, which according to the MUNI study regulations corresponds to 100-120 hours of work. Of this, 12 hours are allocated to seminars, 12 hours to lectures, and the remaining 76-96 hours are reserved for preparation for teaching, completing the portfolio assignment, and preparing for the test.
