- Course objectives
- Annotation: Anthropological, psychological, philosophical and artistic base of children's artistic expression, function of children's artistic expression, art education class - history and present, art and education, socialization of art and education, artephiletics, basic and alternative forms and methods of art education teaching, personalities of theory and practice in the 20th and 21st century, artcentrism, videocentrism, gnoseocentrism and animocentrism in art education, depth-psychology interpretation of children's artwork, interpretation of children and students´ artifacts, presentation of children and students´ work, role of new media in art education, Discipline Based Art Education - DBAE, art education in projects, sensory and spiritual education, children's artistic expression as symbolic communication.
The main objectives: The basic concepts of the art education theory and practice, historical and contemporary art education, personalities from the modern history of art education in the Czech and world context, relations of visual artists to the children's art, residential and foreign institutions concerned with art education, integration of various concepts of current art education. - Learning outcomes
- The student focuses on the history of art education, identifies the main periods of its development and recognizes the principles of art education as an object in the Czech Republic and abroad. They learn the skills to develop a reflexive essay related to the subjects' curriculum.
