- At the end of the course the students get all necesasary information of introduction into history of art and its practical methods. The students will be able to work wit the basic tools of arthistorical work.
- Syllabus
- The aim of the course is to make students acquainted with the rudiments of the discipline of the art history.
- The main themes of the course: Stages of the art historian research ; structure of the art historical text (monograph,paper in the art magazine, popularization, lecture etc., edit of the text and notes
- Historical sources: archives and work in the archive, methods of the archive research, edition of the sources
- c) Literature: bibliographie, libraries and the work in library, quotation
- d) Encyclopedias: Dictionaries of Art History, Dictionaries of artists, topographies, corpus etc.
- e) literature on iconography: "ICONCLASS", indexies in Marburg and Princeton, dokumentations centres (RKD in The Haag, Witt Library in London etc.) and phototecs (Fotothek Marburg)
- f) Catalogues: corpus, oeuvre-catalogue, museums summary catalogues , exhibitions catalogues

- At the end of the course the students get all necesasary information of introduction into history of art and its practical methods. The students will be able to work wit the basic tools of arthistorical work.
- Syllabus
- The aim of the course is to make students acquainted with the rudiments of the discipline of the art history.
- The main themes of the course: Stages of the art historian research ; structure of the art historical text (monograph,paper in the art magazine, popularization, lecture etc., edit of the text and notes
- Historical sources: archives and work in the archive, methods of the archive research, edition of the sources
- c) Literature: bibliographie, libraries and the work in library, quotation
- d) Encyclopedias: Dictionaries of Art History, Dictionaries of artists, topographies, corpus etc.
- e) literature on iconography: "ICONCLASS", indexies in Marburg and Princeton, dokumentations centres (RKD in The Haag, Witt Library in London etc.) and phototecs (Fotothek Marburg)
- f) Catalogues: corpus, oeuvre-catalogue, museums summary catalogues , exhibitions catalogues
