Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
to understand the main trends in french novel, poetry and drama in the period from 1940 to 1968. Main discussed topics:
French modern and postmodern prose and theater of the second half of the 20th century: the stress will be put on new narrative conceptions and on the ideological and axiological tranformations.
Learning outcomes
Identify and summarize important features of the major periods of the history of French literature of the second half of the 20th century;
analyze selected literary works of the given period;
write a comparative essay;

Credits will be assigned on the basis of fulfilling of these requirements:
a) Active participation in the seminar (10 points)
b) Analysis of a text from the list of required reading ("povinná četba") in the form of "commentaire composé" (60 points)
c) Oral exam - commentary of one of the extracts of the works analyzed during the seminars (30 points)

to understand the main trends in french novel, poetry and drama in the period from 1940 to 1968. Main discussed topics:

Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
to understand the main trends in french novel, poetry and drama in the period from 1940 to 1968. Main discussed topics:
French modern and postmodern prose and theater of the second half of the 20th century: the stress will be put on new narrative conceptions and on the ideological and axiological tranformations.
Learning outcomes
Identify and summarize important features of the major periods of the history of French literature of the second half of the 20th century;
analyze selected literary works of the given period;
write a comparative essay;

a) Active participation in the seminar (10 points)
b) Analysis of a text from the list of required reading ("povinná četba") in the form of "commentaire composé" (60 points)
c) Oral exam - commentary of one of the extracts of the works analyzed during the seminars (30 points)

Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
to understand the main trends in french novel, poetry and drama in the period from 1940 to 1968. Main discussed topics:
French modern and postmodern prose and theater of the second half of the 20th century: the stress will be put on new narrative conceptions and on the ideological and axiological tranformations.
Learning outcomes
Identify and summarize important features of the major periods of the history of French literature of the second half of the 20th century;
analyze selected literary works of the given period;
write a comparative essay;
