- Upon successful completion of the course, students will able to apply main methods and techniques (the electronical databases inclusive)of approach to the texts and their interpretation; to describe the contents of study of classical philology with its auxiliary disciplines; be familiar with principal scientific literature and journals; show appreciation for translation of the classical Greek and Roman Literature and for the history of the specialization.

Student chooses and reads at least two translated books of classsical Latin (or Greek) literature and at least one translated book of medieval Latin literature. Discussion aimed at testing student's insight into the selected texts (author, content and nature of the work, information about translator).
