- Course objectives
- Students will be able to professionally record specific sound situations, musical instruments into individual tracks and basic administration and export to professional quality formats.
Students will be able to distinguish different qualitative levels and the importance of their use. - Learning outcomes
- Students will learn
1. operate the equipment of the recording hall (acoustic elements, acoustic blinds, projection screen, lighting)
2. operate sound studio technologies and directing in the sense of putting individual devices into standby mode (reverberation system, mixing console, preampy, machine room)
3. operate elements of the base recording chain (sensing, interconnection, control, recording technology)
4. Connectivity sensing, recording and playback audio technology (analog, digital, optics, wireless)
5. Operate PC recording equipment, basic recording work, recording formats
6. Administration in the sense of controlling the sound recording and sharing with other studio technologies, servers and disk arrays
7. Determining the method of professional sound recording, device specificity, microphone type, cabling, preamps for a given situation
8. Determining the method of professional audio recording, equipment and media specifications, format type and quality
9. Multi-track recording and exporting to basic mono-stereo format
