- Course objectives
- The seminar will concentrate on working with professional texts of average periodical length published recently. Students will orient themselves in more advanced terminology, they will learn the essential features of individual types of professional texts; in the seminars they will try to analyze and interpret adequately demanding texts. The analytical seminars (8-10) will be followed by consultations about the students' studies or reviews. The seminar is thought as a kind of "practical service" whose character and running is in a considerable way decided upon by the students.

- 1. Review, different types of review, analysis of reviews appearing in dailies, popular and academic review. 2. Different types of mediating proffesional texts. 3. Analytical, critical and interpretative studies. 4. Essay and its special features. 5. Preparing a professional text (following student's choice).
