- Course objectives
- Main objectives can be summarized as follows: the fable - the origin and development, authors; Physiologus - the origin and development, the modification - Liber Bestiarius; what is the relation of exemplum to fables?; the works of Bartolomeus de Solencia (Exemplarius auctorum).
- Syllabus
- 1. The fable - the origin and development, authors (Aisopos, Avianus, Phaedrus, Romulus etc.). 2. Physiologus - the origin and development, the alterations - Liber Bestiarius; - the influence of Isidor from Sevilla. 3. Exemplum - what is the relation of exemplum to fables?; - the works of Bartolomeus de Solencia (Exemplarius auctorum).
