- Course objectives
- The objective of the course is mastering the approach of academic studies of religions when studying and researching one of the most famous and discussed new religions - Hare Krishna Movement. The course deals with the doctrine and praxis of this religious group, the context of its foundation and existence, history of the group, public and academic discussion about the group. The participants of the course have the opportunity to discuss the issue with the major representative of Hare Krishna Movement in the Czech republic.

- 1) The context of the foundation of the group and its existence
- 2) The founder of the ISKCON - Bhaktivédanta Swami Prabhupáda
- 3) The basic text: Bhagavadgita; Srimad Bhagavatam
- 4) The doctrine and the praxis
- 5) History of the group worldwide and in the Czech republic
- 6) Questions and issues connected to the existence of the group.
