Course objectives
The present course is closely related to the introductory course on Japanese religions named Japanese Buddhism JAP116, the successful completion of which is compulsory for enrollment in the present course.
After the completion of the course, the student will be able to contextually analyze and addresss the issue of Japanese buddhism based on specific examples of documentaries. The student will be able to adapt the topics introduced during the course in order to comprehend and explain particular phenomena in Shinto and Buddhism in Japan.
