- Course objectives
- The subject is directed on expansion of knowledge of students in the field of history, geography and culture of Russia. At the end of the course students should be able to: understand the basic features of Russian historical geography; understand the problems of contemporary politics and economy; learn the history of culture and traditions in juxtaposition to the history of Russia; learn the history of culture from the old times to the ours times (21st cent.).

- 1.Russia on a map of world. Federal division of Russia. Russia - the multinational country. 2.A climate of Russia. A relief. 3.Historic figures.4 Economy of Russia. 5 Religion. 6.Holidays. 7. A Russian cuisine. 8. National crafts. 9 Culture of Russia (literature, theatre, music, cinema, architecture etc.). 10 Modern problems of Russian society.
