Course objectives
The exposition of the Finnish language system in terms of structural linguistics. The course lasts 4 semesters. At the end of this course students are able to describe principles of derivation in Finnish and distinguish between derivation and inflection. Students are able to analyze derived words and compounds. Students should also be able to summarize their knowledge of Finnish morphology.
