Course objectives
At the end of this course, student should be able to: - recognize different registers (language styles), - use all kinds of language styles in suitable (language) situations. to demonstrate the knowledge of Slavonic phonetics. - have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of linguistics. - have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of comparative study of Slavonic languages - be familiar with Slavonic grammar - contrast and compare Czech and other Slavonic languages
Syllabus
  • Theory of functional style, Stylistic levels of Serbian, functional spoken style , functional literature style, functional media style, functional scientific style, Administrative functional style and practical exercises on texts with different functional styles. One part of seminars is based on practical exercises dedicated to different functional styles and their specifics on the texts which are typical for each of the functional styles. 1. Teaching methods
First 6 weeks: lectures of contrastive character, then 6 weeks seminars with lectors dealing with the situation in the certain South Slavonic language
