To enroll in this course, the students needn‘t have passed the BA411 course, but they should have the knowledge of grammar and vocabulary studied in this course.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to communicate in Latvian in such topics as 1) orientation in town 2) shopping 3) geography 4) means of transport.
Syllabus
  • This course is meant primarily for practicing Latvian grammar and vocabulary, as there is another course (BA431) meant solely for the practicing of Latvian conversation. In this semester, we work with 1) Latvian adjectives system – cases and graduation and 2) past verb tense. The vocabulary taught this semester consists of 1) orientation in town 2) shopping 3) geography 4) means of transport.
