- Course objectives
- Students are invited to reflect about the deep theatrical dimension and experimental form which are often between one and an other artistic field. Reading enigmatic evocative texts with loose ends enable us to read them in a such new and personal way, like inspiration for artistic living.
- Learning outcomes
- By attending the course students will understand the difference between Nineteenth century's Surrealism and hypothetic Neo-surrealism in the IIIth Millennium saga "Il Teatro del Manichino".
- Syllabus
- Surrealism in the early Nineteenth century and how was difficult to think about a connection with theatrical world. The evolution from André Breton to the hypothetic neo-surrealism in the Third Millennium. Books Saga "The Theatre of Mannequin" (symbolic emblematic figure, who communicates without speaking and walks without moving) together with a female character, through cities like Athens, Prague, Moscow... offers interactive books, languages over the page and over the lines. This is the language that colours, music, perfumes and art speak...

- Teaching methods
- The lessons will be divided in two parts - the theoretical one will be focused on the main moments and figures of the experimental theatre. The second part will be practical and it will be based on annotated reading of the most illustrative texts of the genre.
- Assessment methods
- Oral exam, the students will also produce a short written assesment based on one of the selected topics.
