- Course objectives
- The course informs about the historical and present Turkic languages. The primarily linguistics-oriented lectures will also offer information about geography, ethnogenesis and cultural history. The main objective of the course is to get to understand the Turkic language family and distribution of separate languages.

- 1. Altaic languages 2. basic features and specifics of Turkic languages 3. introduction of particular branches and languages (3.1 Western Turkic languages, 3.1.1 Oghuz languages, 3.1.2 Kipchak languages, 3.1.3 Karluk languages, 3.1.4 Oghur languages, 3.2 Eastern Turkic languages, 3.2.1 Siberian languages, 3.2.2 Khalaj)
