- Course objectives
- The aim of this seminar - based on "vague" relations between the concepts of “portrait” and “icon” during the Middle Ages - is a study of selected examples and the reflection of their function and meaning. Based on the methodological debates and work with a wide world literature, the seminar is draft as an introduction to professional research.
