Course objectives
Word-order principles a their interplay in German and Czech, topological units and toplogical fields in German, sentence frame, initial, central and final field, extraposition. Corresponding phenomena in Czech.
Syllabus
  • The theory of German word order (topology), grammatical and communicative principle, sentence frame(verbal and subjunctional frame), topolgical sentence scheme (initial field, central field, final field), theme-rheme structure (functional sentence perspective), word order typology.
