Course objectives
The aim of the course is to present the Prague typology of languages
Syllabus
  • 1. Typology of languages; Skalička s typology of languages. 2. History of Skalička s typological theory. 3. Principles of Skalička s typology I. 4. Principles of Skalička s typology II. 5. Principles of Skalička s typology III. 6. Principles of Skalička s typology IV. 7. Continuation of Skalička s typology: Sgall. 8. Continuation of Skalička s typology: Popela. 9. Problems of Skalička s typology. 10. Possibilities of Skalička s typology. 11. Skalička s typology in the framework of the Prague School. 12. Skalička and Hjelmslev.
