- Course objectives
- The course is dedicated to selected problems of music analysis from 1730 on. Main objectives are to understand the problems and logic of individual phenomena. At the end of the course students will be able to:
Define the basic musical terms
Explain the relations of individual musical forms
Formulate opinions on individual approaches of music analysis
Interpret texts and analyses by Dahlhaus, Eggebrecht, Kuehn, Volek, Janeček, Burlas
Analyse works by Monteverdi, Schütz, Michna, Bach, Beethoven, Dvořák - Syllabus
