Course objectives
The aim of the course is to gain an overview of current research topics developed in pedagogical and andragogical research in the Czech Republic, to understand the basic research approaches that are used, and to acquire the skills needed to engage in professional discussions. The course will take the form of a meeting with researchers from Department of Educational Sciences, who will present their research in a form close to the conference paper and then students will be led to active participation in professional discussion.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students are able to: • To characterize the main lines of pedagogical and andragogical research in the Czech Republic • Name the current representatives of pedagogical research in the Czech Republic and their publications • Understand conference-type expertise and ask informed questions • Explain what methodological procedures can be used in pedagogical and andragogical research • Discuss research findings with each other, find connections among findings and interpret these connections
