Course objectives
The aim of the course is to support students to actively seek professional education in the field of child psychology or child psychotherapy. The course aims to arouse students' interest in vocational education beyond their studies and to provide a comprehensive overview of current possibilities of education.
Learning outcomes
Students will attend a seminar or conference of their choice with a focus on the field of child psychology or child psychotherapy (school psychology, educational psychology, child psychiatry, etc.). Range: one event in the range of min. two days (approx. 12-16 hours) or at least two one-day events. Output of the educational event: answer in writing predetermined questions and present it at a seminar. Students will attend two seminars, which will take place within the course - one at the beginning of the semester and one at the end of the semester. At the first meeting, students get acquainted with information about the course and completion of the course. They will receive tips on educational events in the following semester. At the second meeting, they will present the learning outcome to other students. At the seminars, there will be a space for discussion and sharing of current knowledge in the field of child psychology / child psychotherapy as well as impressions from completed education.
Syllabus
  • Education options: - conferences (eg school psychology, child psychosomatics, childcare in health or social services), - seminar accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT), - educational events under the auspices of the university, - course or professional lecture from the company Podané ruce o.p.s. (lectures for the public organized, for example, by the Prevention Center; courses from the Institute of Expert Services), - education for the public in accredited psychotherapeutic training, - educational events under the auspices of a medical facility. - After an individual agreement, it is possible to come up with another proposal of your own. ATTENTION! It is necessary to take into account the possible financial payment of the educational event

Assessment methods
Three conditions must be met a) prove participation in the educational event - a confirmation of participation in the event or another document from the organizer (after prior agreement, another form can be chosen). Scope: either one educational event in the range of min. two days (approx. 12-16 hours) or at least two one-day educational events. b) attendance of at least 75% at joint seminars within the subject c) written elaboration of the output from the educational event and its presentation at the final seminar
