Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the possibilities, forms and subjects of the aesthetic-educational development of children and youth beyond the framework of compulsory schooling. Also to further introduce to educational institutions and entities (ZUŠ, leisure facilities, gallery and museum activities, associations and associations) whose mission is to fulfill the principles of aesthetic education in a broader and interdisciplinary sense. Individual lectures will be held with the participation of professional guests.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
1.) to understand different forms of extracurricular and outdoor education
2.) to think and discuss changes in goals, contents, methods, forms and evaluation in the field of out-of-school aesthetic education
3.) take an informed attitude towards current trends in out-of-school education
4.) inform about the forms of implementation of aesthetic education in the Czech Republic (RVP, ZUŠ, leisure facilities, DVPP, gallery and museum activities...)
5.) describe the connection between aesthetic education activities and educational (or therapeutic) activities outside school

Assessment methods
The output of the subject is the elaboration of a proposal for a methodology of at least 3000 characters discussing the selected phenomenon (art, music, film, literature, philosophy, theater, design and architecture, environmental issues) and its application possibilities within the framework of out-of-school aesthetic education (E.g. design of a circle for children, design of a tailor-made workshop series for one of the already existing educational institutions, design of a range of educational programs for some of the leisure centers, design of the contents of a suburban camp for one of the existing institutions, etc.)
