- Cílem výuky je rozvinout a doplnit základní dovednosti nezbytné ke studiu odborné literatury.

- Obecné cíle: 1) rozvinout dovednost mluvení tak, aby studenti byli schopni komunikovat i o odborných tématech (diplomová, bakalářská práce apod.) 2) rozvinout dovednost čtení tak, aby se studenti bez problémů orientovali i ve složitějších textech 3) rozvinout poslechové dovednosti i v oblasti odborné 4) získat přehled o obecně-vědní slovní zásobě a o základní odborné terminologii 5) zopakovat a prohloubit znalost gramatiky se zaměřením na jevy odborného stylu 6) v písemném projevu zvládnout krátké shrnutí odborného článku
