After completing this course the student will be able to:
understand authentic scientific texts/lectures
identify the main ideas
formulate the main ideas
interpret the information
present scientific topics using basic presentation techniques
summarize a scientific text
compare and contrast
use arguments in a discussion on a scientific topic (defend one´s opinion, opose, support arguments of a colleague)
present one´s research using advanced presentation techniques
communicate on general and specialized topics using specfic language
Learning outcomes
After completing this course the student will be able to: understand authentic texts/lectures identify the main ideas formulate the main ideas interpret the information present topics using basic presentation techniques summarize texts compare and contrast use arguments in a discussion on a different topics (defend one´s opinion, opose, support arguments of a colleague) present one´s research using advanced presentation techniques

  • Obecné cíle: 1) rozvinout dovednost mluvení tak, aby studenti byli schopni komunikovat i o odborných tématech (diplomová, bakalářská práce apod.) 2) rozvinout dovednost čtení tak, aby se studenti bez problémů orientovali i ve složitějších textech 3) rozvinout poslechové dovednosti i v oblasti odborné 4) získat přehled o obecně-vědní slovní zásobě a o základní odborné terminologii 5) zopakovat a prohloubit znalost gramatiky se zaměřením na jevy odborného stylu 6) v písemném projevu zvládnout krátké shrnutí odborného článku

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka je v každém semestru zakončena zápočtem - podmínkou udělení zápočtu je úspěšné vykonání zápočtového testu a 85% přítomnost ve výuce.
