- Course objectives
- The primary aim of this subject is to supplement basic knowledge of GI-science with format conversion and data transformation. Data conversions will be realized in software FME Desktop. Integral part of this course should be comprehension of principles of this program.
- Syllabus
- 1-2. lesson: introduction to FME Desktop
- 3-4. lesson: main principles of FME Desktop
- 5-6. lesson: principles of storage spatial information in various data formats (vector, rastr, CAD, XML-based and spatial databases)
- 7-8. lesson: basic data transformations (generalization, map algebra)
- 9-10. lesson: advanced data transformations (3D modeling, published parameters)
