Course objectives
For students of Chemistry of conservation-restoration.
The first part of this practical course is devoted to techniques and treatment black-and-white photo material (exposition an developing films and making of positives) and selected photographic techniques using digital camera.
The second part of the course deals with digital photography post-processing.

Syllabus
  • 1) Principles of photography, taking snaps. The influence of exposition parameters
  • 2) Practical training in dark room (developing, fixing, chemical toning,treatment of photos)
  • 3) Digital photography - microphotography
  • 4) Digital photography - macrophotography
  • 5) Digital photography - flash and stuio flashlight
  • 6) Digital photography - photodocumentation of objects
  • 7) Digital photography - exploitation of computer techniques in the digital picture processing.
