- Course objectives
- The lecture is an introductory course providing geoscience students introductory information about chemical composition of Earth and Space and main processes participating on their evolution. It is a basis for further study in masters programme for students interested in more chemically focused study of Earth systems.
- Learning outcomes
- 1. Students recognize importance and utilization of geochemical approach in study of the Earth.
2. Students are able to interconnect chemical laws and properties on micro-level with their manifestation on macro-scale.
3. Students know the principles which formed and determine composition of universe, Earth and its fluid cover and are able to compare and explain the differences.
4. Students know the fundamental geochemical risks influencing natural environment and human society. - Syllabus
- The lecture is an introductory course to one of the basic geological disciplines on the bachelor level. Students are familiarized with the chemical composition of Earth and its changes, with basic processes of its chemical evolution and tools of geochemistry research.
