- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to teach the student to use statistical software in the processing of multidimensional data sets from the field of anthropology.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing this course:
the student is able to perform correlation and regression analysis;
the student is familiar with methods of multifactor analysis of variance and covariance analysis;
the student is able to express information contained in a large number of variables using a small number of new variables;
the student can sort objects into groups. - Syllabus
- Simple and multivariate correlation and regression analysis.
- Multifactor ANOVA.

- Teaching methods
- The weekly class schedule consists of 1 hour of class exercises with special statistical software in computer classroom.
- Assessment methods
- Compulsory attendance (two unexcused absences are allowed). During the semester students complete 3 multiple choice tests. 50% of correct answers is needed to pass. Bonus points can be earned for completing homework assigned by teacher.
