- Course objectives
- Introduction. Degradation of polymers in inert media. Mechanisms and kinetics of the chain oxidative degradation of polymers. Inhibited degradation. Antioxidants and mechanisms of their action and applications. Special types of polymer degradation. Plasticizers and lubricants. Antistatic and blowing agents. Flame retardants. Dyes, pigments, coloristics. Fillers and reinforcements for polymers. Overall aspects of polymer additivation.
