- Course objectives
- It is the purpose of this lecture to give information of vacuum technology. The lecture is divided into fifth parts. In the first part the sorpction and desorption of gases , fields of its application and importance are discussed. The second part of the lecture concentrates on the condenzation and on the reaction ofn surface. In the third part the attention is paid to the gases in solid materials. The fourth part is devoted to sorption pumps and the fifth part is devoted to measurement of gas flow. Surface phenomena. Desorption. Adsorption equation. Evaporation and condensation. Volume phenomena. Gas solubility in solids. Diffusion. Saturated pressure measurement. Gas flow measurement. Ion pump. Cryopump. Sorption pump.
