- Seznámit studenty s principy a aplikací metod genového inženýrství u rostlin. Tj. s principy a aplikací metod molekulární biologie u rostlin (manipulacemi s nukleovými kyselinami a jejich analýzou), strukturou rostlinného genomu jaderného a mimojaderného, detekce a izolace genů u rostlin, transgenoze rostlin (způsoby, využití v teoretickém výzkumu a zemědělské, potravinářské a farmaceutické praxi), Možnosti využití v dalších oblastech biologie rostlin.
