Course objectives
At the end of the course the students are able to: Understand and explain developmental processes; Identify structures formed during embryogenesis; Interpret and explain recent knowledge and problems in regenerative and reproductive medicine.

  • • Introduction, general terminology, basics of molecular regulatory principles • Reproduction, gametogenesis, fertilisation • Blastogenesis • Embryonal diapause, gastrulation and tissue development • Development of cardiovascular system • Development of gastrointestinal system and its derivatives • Development of urogenital system • Development of musculoskeletal motoric system • Development of integument • Neurogenesis • Postembryonal development, regeneration, stem cells • Sub/fertility, reproductive medicine – MUDr. Aleš Bourek, Ph.D.

Teaching methods
lectures -According to the current measures of Masaryk university the course will be taught distantly via MS Teams by commented presentations followed by on-line consultations. Students will be informed in case of any change in advance.
Assessment methods
Attendance at lectures is not mandatory, but recommended for good understanding of discussed topics. The final evaluation will be in the case of presence students at school performed by oral examination. In the case of distant education, the oral test will be performed via the MS Teams platform. The list of tested topics is available to students for study purpos.
