- Course objectives
- The course is dealing with particular topics of the fundamental course of general physics using the form of demonstration experiments. The main objective is to extend acquired knowledge and to apply them on concrete situations. This course is mainly dedicated to future secondary school teachers and it gives the examples of physical applications that can be used directly in secondary school physics education. At the end of this course, students should be able to: Better understand rudiments of mechanics and molecular physics and perform simple teaching experiments.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students should be able to: Better understand rudiments of mechanics and molecular physics and perform simple teaching experiments.
- Syllabus
- Fundamental laws of newtonian mechanics, Newton's first law: law of inertia Newton's second law: law of acceleration, Newton's third law: law of reciprocal actions
- Dry friction, static friction, kinetics friction, angle of friction, fluid friction, triboelectric effect, rolling resistance
- Work and mechanical energy
- Elasticity, Hooke's law, strength, stress–strain curve, strengthening mechanisms of materials
- Fluid mechanics, Bernoulli's principle, Magnus effect, Coriolis force, (is direction in which water in the wash basin swirl turn related to the rotation of the earth?)
