  • doc. RNDr. Michal Roth, CSc. Compressed fluids in analytical separations. Supercritical fluids and compressed liquids – similarities and differences, applications in chromatography and sample preparation, supercritical fluid chromatography, supercritical fluid extraction, pressurized hot water extraction. Ionic liquids – motivation, properties, applications. Supercritical water as an agent to treat fused silica capillaries.
  • RNDr. Pavel Kubáň, Ph.D. DSc. Application of membrane-based preseparation methods in analysis of environmental, biological and clinical samples with particular focus on electrodriven techniques. New trends in treatment and preconcentration of complex samples, examples of off-line and on-line couplings with current analytical instruments, examples of practical solutions of real-world problems.
  • Mgr. Filip Duša, Ph.D. Analytical and preparative isoelectric focusing. Principles and variants of instrumental arrangement (capillary, gel, preparative channel, continuous methods), detection, internal standards – pI markers, applications in analysis of proteins and microorganisms, coupling to liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. Current results – applications and focusing devices.
  • Mgr. Anna Týčová, Ph.D. Nanoparticles – origin of unique properties. Fabrication of nanoparticles. Nanoparticles in everyday life as well as in modern analytical research. Surface-enhanced Raman spectrometry (SERS).
  • RNDr. Pavel Mikuška, CSc. Atmospheric aerosols. Basic definitions and terms, effects of aerosols on environment and human health, physical properties, aerosol sources, size distribution and concentration measurements, chemical composition, specific types of aerosols (bioaerosols, nanoaerosols, indoor aerosols), aerosol concentrations in the Czech Republic.
  • Mgr. Antonín Hlaváček, Ph.D. Single-molecule methods in analytical chemistry. The counting of single molecules is introduced as a straightforward method for estimating the concentration of analytes. The properties of single-molecule methods are discussed. The focus is placed on the optical methods utilizing fluorescence and photon-upconversion.
