- Course objectives
- At the end of this course students should prove
1) the general understanding of the Latin text of the Bible (Vulgate)
2) the general knowledge of the historical background that is necessary for understanding the text
3) the familiarity with the specific vocabulary and syntax of the text - Syllabus
- During the whole term students are preparing on their own, using the recomended literature. At the end of the term they ask their examiner for the oral examination in reading and translating St Jerome’s Vulgate.

- Credit is given on the basis of proving the ability to understand, translate and comment (on elementary level) on the selected text from Vulgata (one from the Old and one from the New Testament).
