- Cíle předmětu
- At the end of the course students will know the basic pharmacological principles and factors influencing drug actions. The student will be able to work with the valid sources of information about drugs. The student will have the basic knowledge about drugs influencing the autonomic nervous system. The student will know the main antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-glaucoma drugs used in the field of Ophthalmology.
- Osnova
- 1st lesson: Pharmacology of the autonomic nervous system. Receptors of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems - adrenergic and cholinergic drugs.
- 2nd lesson: Pharmacotherapy of glaucoma, mydriatics, cycloplegics, miotics, drugs influencing lacrimation, antimicrobial, anti-allergic agents and anti-inflammatory drugs used in ophthalmology. Local anesthetics used in ophthalmology. Targeted drug therapy in ophthalmology. Credits.

- Výukové metody
- Students are provided with the pharmacology teacher presentation of the topic according to the curriculum. Oral presentation of the teacher contains pictures and schemes to demonstrate the pharmacological principles and help the understanging of the related topic.
- Metody hodnocení
- During the studying the student has to prove active knowledge of pharmacology acquired to get the credit. The 100% presence at practicals is required to get the credit. To substitute an absence the student has to write an assay on the relevant topic. In this case, the student will be shortly examined from the topic.
