- Course objectives
- This is a follow-up course of the courses PJI1A, PJI2A and PJI3A and it is completion of students' overall communicative language competence targeting the Cl level of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages. The emphasis is put on consolidation of advanced language structures and mastering professional language with regard to the preparation for the final language exam.
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- deliver a presentation using visual aids
- understand an authentic text at advanced level
- work with such a text and present his/her opinion on the issues covered there
- use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes
- produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices. - Syllabus

- Assessment methods
- This course is taught only in the form of seminar sessions and it is completed with an exam - both written and oral. Students can take an oral part of the exam provided the following requirements are fulfilled:
- 80% active participation in seminars (systematic continuous preparation and fulfilling assigned tasks)
- 60 % success rate in the final exam test
- seminar presentation on a economic topic delivered in the course of the semester.
If a student commits a prohibited act, such as using various forbidden tools (e.g. cheatsheets), cribbing, taking out any part of the final test or any other form of cheating, the teacher is allowed to interrupt the test and to grade the student with F, FF or even FFF, according to the seriousness of the offence. The described procedure applies to all the activities that are included in the final evaluation of the course (seminar work). - Language of instruction
