Course objectives
The main objective of this course is to enable students to enhance their knowledge of exhibition and fair industry through discussions with experts experienced in that field.

In addition, the course:
- introduces the main principles and functions of fair and exhibition market in the Czech Republic and the world
- provides basic overview of historical and contemporary development of fair and exhibition industry
- clarifies exhibition practices from the point of view of exhibitor, visitor and providing company

Accompanied activities:
- Excursion to Veletrhy Brno exhibition grounds
- Interactive seminar “How to succeed at an exhibition” - students practise planning and organizing an imaginary exhibition.

  • 7. Financial support of exhibitors through governmental programs

Assessment methods
The course takes form of lectures.

The final exam: To pass the exam students need to reach at least 60% of the total of 20 points, i.e. 12 points at least.

Students are not allowed to take the final exam unless they:
- attend “How to succeed at an exhibition” seminars
- have participated actively in lectures


Course completion certificate:
The certificate will be granted to students who:
- pass the final exam with excellent results (A, B, C grade)
- gain at least 6 points for activity in lectures
The certificate will be delivered to students at the end of the semester or at the beginning of the following semester.
