Degree programme objectives
The aim of the three-year Bachelor's degree programme Fitness and Personal Trainer (OKT) is to prepare qualified experts in the field of personal and fitness training in terms of planning, organisation, management, implementation and counselling for performance and recreational athletes and the general population. The expertise of graduates will be profiled through theoretical forms of study, the implementation of practical teaching in the environment of various sports and physical activities (seminars, exercises, courses) and through work experience in the field of sport.
Theoretical studies primarily concern the areas directly related to the implementation of the coaching profession. These are sports training, medical-biological area and pedagogical-psychological area. Completion of the OKT study programme opens the way for students to understand the different forms of biological effects of fitness training, physical activities and regeneration on the human organism, taking into account possible specifics such as ontogenetic peculiarities, stages of sports training or different types of sports performance. The study also leads to an understanding of physiological and pathological phenomena related to physical and psychological stress or to the weakening of the organism.
The mission of the three-year Bachelor's degree is to prepare graduates capable of adaptively responding to the demands of the labour market in the fields of Personal Trainer and Fitness Trainer. Therefore, we consider essential competences related to planning, creation, implementation and analysis of adequate training and exercise programs for the general population, recreational and performance athletes. The above competencies will be used by qualified professionals across the entire age spectrum of the population.

The internships are preceded by the course Preparation for Practice, which serves as a theoretical and practical introduction to these subjects. The internships focus on both individual client work and group-led training programs.
The goal of the internships is to gain experience in leadership, management, planning, documentation, and evaluation of physical activities-skills that will help students adapt to labor market demands. Additionally, the internships provide insight into teamwork dynamics, division of responsibilities (head coach, strength and conditioning coach, physiotherapist), and essential administrative tasks related to coaching (attendance records, injury documentation, and training content tracking).
- Goals of ThesesThe guidelines for the choice of the topic and the preparation of the bachelor's/master's thesis are regulated by the FSpS guidelines. The guidelines and instructions for the state examination are published on the faculty website.
