The graduate of the field of study is an expert in natural medicines and materials, capable of independent scientific research, creative and pedagogical work in pharmacognosy. He has knowledge of the sources of natural medicines, their processing, quality assessment and their use. He also has special knowledge of plant metabolism, biosynthesis of secondary metabolites, methods of their extraction and isolation, and determination of chemical structure. She/He masters selected methods for determining biological activity, can prepare derivatives of native substances. Some graduates are experts in plant tissue cultures for studies enabling the application of molecular biological methods. The aim of the program is to train experts in the field of natural biologically active substances, with deep theoretical knowledge and methodological skills and with the prerequisites for independent creative activity at the interdisciplinary and international level.Study plans
