Course objectives (in Czech)

Cílem kurzu je vybavit studenty se specifickými poruchami učení dovednostmi a strategiemi, které jim umožní lépe zvládat čtení textů v akademické angličtině. Studenti se seznámí s různými druhy učení, různými metodami čtení, ale i slovotvorbou a strukturou anglicky psaných textů, což jim umožní lépe porozumět textům a efektivněji s nimi pracovat.

Syllabus (in Czech)

• Unit 1: Učební styly, strategie, typy a charakteristika odborných/akademických textů
• Unit 2: Práce s textem, různé způsoby/techniky čtení (intenzívní, extenzívní, skimming, scanning, internetové zdroje a programy)
• Unit 3: Slovní druhy a jejich vzájemné vztahy, větné členy a pořádek slov ve větách oznamovacích, záporných, v otázkách (praktická cvičení, práce s různými typy úloh při čtení textů - fill in, gap text, tvoření slov, sousloví)
• Unit 4: Odstavce, členění textů a jejich uspořádání, studijní dovednosti (praktická cvičení s různými odbornými typy textů)
• Unit 5: Hlasité a tiché čtení, výslovnost v angličtině
• Unit 6: Typy testů na porozumění textu, strategie skládání testů, nácvik různých typů cvičení na porozumění textu
