Prerequisites
"Express Yourself" is an intensive blended programme organized by Masaryk University, Czech Republic, which brings together future teachers of English from four different countries (Poland, Lithuania, Turkey and the Czech Republic) in both online and f2f environments. The programme consists of two online meetings (March, April) and a week-long summer school in Brno, Czech Republic (July).

Course objectives
Inspired by a variety of educational theories, approaches and techniques (participatory pedagogy, drama education, value education, SEE learning, experiential learning, solidarity theory, blended learning, issue-based learning and problem-solving), the programme is centred around a concrete historical event that emphasises both individual and communal responsibility, social justice and equality. The historical event in question is a secret the participants will reveal on the first day of the course. The course seeks to develop:
language competence, content-cultural skills and intercultural competence
social, emotional and ethical competences (SEE learning, drama education)
presentation skills
21st-century skills (4 c‘s - communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking)
Learning outcomes
The course aims to model:
concrete approaches and activities to mediate meaningful, contextualized and personalized learning for sustainable learning
reflective teaching and learning, citizenship education

Active participation: 2 online meetings (March, April) and a week-long intensive course in Brno (July, 30 hours approx.)
