- Course objectives
- A student will be able to define and determine particular characteristics of an individual financial instrument of financial asset. A student will be oriented in financial offers of particular banks or investment companies. Gained knowledge can be implicated in the portfolio theory by a student. Student will be able to compare and calculate investment yields form a particular investment action and determine an individual investment decision based on the elements – risk, revenue and liquidity.

- Teaching methods
- The course is dividend in individual lectures. In seminars there is prepared and deliver the case study that combines knowledge gained in lectures with individual studying of a student. There are prepared analysis of a financial market development in a determined time period or calculated fundamental indicators for comparison financial situation. Actual financial date, from e.g. Patria or Stock Exchanges, are necessary.
- Assessment methods
- The course is concluded by the written examination (15 questions in the form of a multiple choice and 4 questions in the forma of essay) and short oral discussion. Total score from written examination is 50 points; total score from oral discussion is 10 points. Total score is 60 points and at least 36 points is necessary for successful finishing of this course. Student must elaborate and deliver a case study.
