- Cíle předmětu
- As part of an internship or research project, the student is expected to complete a project mentored by a professional in the healthcare sector or a researcher in health economics/policy and related fields. Students have the opportunity to choose their placement (which should be approved by the program director beforehand). They should seek a new experience to learn new skills beyond their current/past job experience, and one where they can apply their new skills. They will expected to present their findings and/or research product(s) at the end of the project/internship.
- Výstupy z učení
- Students will apply new skills from the AHE program to:
- conduct supervised, high-quality professional work in the field of health economics, policy (or similar)
- report results in a concise way, be an effective team-player and openly receive constructive feedback
- solve problems and assist in project administration and management as needed
- improve soft skills such as communication, active listening, time management, teamwork and critical thinking crucial in problem solving in healthcare organizations, with care providers or in policy making - Osnova
- Students are asked to identify their placement for a research project or internship and get Program Director approval before starting.
- The overall length should be an equivalent of 6 weeks of full-time work (30 days or 240 hours), of which at least 3 weeks (15 days, 120 days) should be conducted on site. The overall length of the project/internship can be longer. It can be paid/unpaid based on an agreement between the student and the mentor/sponsor.
- The student should complete an initial Project Description of the primary focus of their work and submit it to for review within 2 weeks of beginning the project. A Final Report is due within 2 weeks of project completion.
- Students are encouraged to use this project/internship to hone professional skills related to their future career goals.
