- Course objectives
- Application of Mathematical Methods in Public Sector (DSAP) The aim of the course is to apply knowledge of mathematics, statistics and related disciplines to concrete mathematical models. The first part deals with the basic mathematical models of financial mathematics. Students will acquire skills in the areas of simple and compound interest, savings or pensions. The models are applied to practical examples. A separate part of the course is formed by developing knowledge concerning a quantitative description of the public sector. Knowledge of indicators, indexes and possibilities of comparison is developed here. Students are led to solve given types of task independently in the seminars. The knowledge is also applied to spreadsheets. Examination: written.
