Course objectives
Health Care Informatics and Statistics (DSZD) In this course the basic statistical methods are presented which are used in decision making in the conditions of health care systems and in the creation and evaluation of a health policy. These methods are practised on concrete examples, specific for health care. Students are also introduced to health information systems, their specifics, possibilities of their use and principles of their creation. An important part of the subject matter is also formed by the issue of information systems in health care establishments, especially in hospitals, and principles of their operation. Examination: the exam is combined and consists of a written part (calculation) and oral part (theory).
