Course objectives
Introduction to Applied Philosophy (DSZF) This subject is part of the block of social science courses. Two introductory topics will be followed by three relatively independent blocks covering general ethics, political philosophy and ethics of economy. The aim here is to equip students of economy and administration with an elementary knowledge of the philosophical context and context of social sciences in which economic and social processes take place and are reflected. The knowledge provided by the course should give students a deeper insight into the problems of special economic disciplines. The side objective is to enable students to grasp the necessary minimum of philosophical theory which forms a part of a general, social and cultural knowledge. The course is completed by a seminar essay on a selected philosophical topic from Czech or foreign literature. Examination: written test, oral exam.
