Course objectives
European Union and Euroregions (PREUAE) This course aims to introduce students to the European Union and European Community by means of providing concrete information on their profile, institutions, content and forms of their work. A special emphasis is placed on the relationships between the European Community and the Czech Republic, prerequisites and consequences of our entry as well as on the establishment and running of Euroregions. The subject matter is divided into three groups of topics. European integration, its beginnings, development and state of integration, perspectives of development of the European Union and European Community, European Union as an international partner, Europeanism as a way of thinking Association Agreement between the European Community and the Czech Republic, movement of goods, persons, services and capital between the EU member states and the CR, co-operation and assistance, the European Union and Central and Eastern Europe EU regional policy, Euroregions, their concept and importance, present state and mode of functioning, development programmes. Examination: oral.
