The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Competition Law (PPSOPR) This course intends to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of the public and private competition law. It will explain the principles of the economic competition protection act, its system and principal institutes, including an explanation of the procedure in the Antitrust Office, on the other side, it will interpret the regulations of the Commercial Code on unfair competition, including a detailed interpretation of the individual states of facts. The presentation will be joined with a lot of examples from legal practice and the current judicature. Relations between competition law and other legal fields will also be examined (criminal law, protection of personal rights, advertising law). Examination: written and oral. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars and a seminar essay.
